A few Sights, Sounds, Reflections ...

This is our home in Japan for the next three weeks ... (behind the middle door)

So far, among other things, we've visited a temple on a mountain

with water features

ancient temples and gardens

traditions

surprises

and hungry carp.
Rice paddy fields can be found just around the corner ...

and playing fields in the middle of Osaka (taken from the train window on our way to Kyoto from the airport.)

She loves the view from Grandpa's shoulders

and keeping Dad busy ...

(More to follow. Experiencing, doing and seeing, doesn't leave much time to report. Funny that!)

Loved seeing the pics! Your little granddaughter is sooo cute. I got to see Evan (finally). At five months old he is all smiles and high soprano songs...they call us Papa and Nama. I can see you are all having a fun time--enjoy the next 3 weeks!

I have always wanted to go to Japan. Thanks for taking me there vicariously! I love the photos, esp. the one of your lovely granddaughter.

In your previous post, you called Japan "a safe and considerate society." Writing from the US, it sounds like paradise.

Wonderful, Kay! This is such an interesting insight - and it looks like you've had so many interesting things already. Everything looks clean and fresh - as if its just been washed!
