Changes

As the more observant among my faithful few! ha ha ... will have noticed, I have changed the name of my blog to 'made for weather'. I feel about my books as I do about my children - fiercely proud. And I feel a bit of promotion is needed for my second-born. Hence the elevated status to header for my blog. Well. If I don't do it no-one else is going to. (Oh Kay, you always were a slow learner!)
And 'Chiefbiscuit' as a name has been put to rest ... although, if you are attached to the nom - feel free to keep using it (I have actually become rather fond of the title Chief!)

Okay, chief (that's going to be hard to give up!). I have my copy--and the new header looks fantastic! Maybe I ought to retire Pepek, or change my header. But I don't know how to do that, and last time I tried I lost my whole links to friends thing and had to rebuild it piece by piece. To this day I don't know who is missing....

Yeah, I agree...Chief. Hmmm. I'll work on Kay. (smile!)

I really like your new header, too. Interesting influences at work...

You are now Proud Grandmama. When I make another stage-of-life change, I will probably no longer be Mapi/Mama Llama, either. But it works for now.

Congratulations, and be well!

Kay,
It suits you!
I like your changes both on your blog and in your office. The stage is set and I,m sure you'll be writing up a storm in no time.

Ah, so you have come out, Kay :)

Perhaps I should think about changing from a witch to a stranger... hmmm.

The new header does look great. I loved the cover of made for weather, really clear image that suited the clarity of the work.

pepek - It was so easy to do! I did it with Safari as that seems to be more agreeable ... took a photo of the painting M did for the book (a photo of your book cover would do just as well I'm sure) and prepared it for use on the web, then went to Layout, then Header - ticked to upload the photo behind the title; changed the title's colour, Font and size to suit; chose a complimentary colour for the header's background (in my case grey)and Bob's your uncle - or pepek in your case! ;)

mapi - That is so true - I hadn't thought of it that way, but I can see that you are right. It's another stage - or skin.

rel - Thanks for that. 'The stage is set' sound like good words to me.

cailleach - Thanks very much, as always, for your support.

Congratulations, and not before time :) It's a kiwi thing sometimes - that inability to talk too much of oneself for fear of seeming vain and etc.

It took more than a few American pr friends to get me to write so much on what I do on my blog.

You've been tagged Kay -visit my blog for the meme - nothing terribly stressful or hard.

You will always be "Chief" to me! But like the new heading.

I am very much in sympathy with changes and the artwork on your latest book is amazing. I'm not sure about the psychology behind wanting to revert to one's own name, but I've experienced it too. I seem to remember you 'coming out' as yourself. I will change the link on my blogroll.

I like your new banner and change is usually a positive thing! So glad you're still treating us with your lovely writing.

di - Yeah the old cultural cringe ... ;)

anne - will pop on over - been a busy week sorry.

avus - Aw that's nice!

carole - Thanks. I think it's to do with 'movin' on' ... maybe ...

pp - You're sweet to say so.

You look very Kay-like and I approve of the change. I'm thinking of changing my last name since I have been divorced for so many years.

But it's wrenching to do.

Must get your new book and I will.

I agree with Pepek that chief's gonna be hard to shed. You're the Chief.

Blog's looking good.

Made for Weather is a GREAT name for a blog. It reminds me of an album by Andrew Bird called Weather Systems. I think you'd like his album, actually. I bet he'd like your poetry, too.

becky - Hey! If the Chief can do it - you can too Becks! ;)
I hope you enjoy the book half as much as I enjoyed 'Coupon Girl'!

rethabile - Aw heck, thanks. But really you know, I'm lesser and mortal.

dana - You are lovely to say so. I must look up Bird!

Now the change of name is about your book I'm sure...but in the back of my head I have to ask....its not anything to do about your changing of age in a couple of days is it??/ I mean that magical number......
